VAM-3 showing a single die clash at this point, and not the counter clash marks seen on subsequent die states. Pure, sheer white magic emanates from the obverse while surprising, flimsy olive-grey delicately layers the reverse.

Gold $5-Capped Bust to Left Half Eagle
Bass-Dannreuther-8, by far the more available of two die marriages dated 1807. Not only is this "the right" variety to pick for type purposes, but in a competent grade of MS-62, one doesn't miss out on much as compared to a mere point's upgrade. This example features acceptable, slightly muted luster, and an excellent strike despite lightly clashed dies. Near-brilliant canary-gold hue generally dominates except where a trace of greyish overtone shows, particularly on the portraits. The cataloger could find no evidence of adjustment marks -- bonus points for many type collectors.
