As is typical for 1852-C, the obverse sports rather strong overall details while the reverse shows blunt softness off a well-worn die. Much nicer in appearance than a "cleaned" disclaimer would imply.

The fields seem to be very close to the DMPL level of reflectivity but also show meager darting hairlines here and there which could inspire paranoid fears of very slight cleaning. This cute little pair includes an 18K yellow gold oversized fly pin with two cabochon turquoise stones and the smaller 14K yellow gold bee companion has dark blue sapphire accents. Our little fly measures just over 1” long and weighs 6.9 dwt while the bee is closer to .75” and weighs 1.5 dwt.
