Bucky The Badger Consignment. A rather scarce value-back off of the appealingly named Rising Sun, Maryland, both sides display decently bright tan paper with nearly legible, thicker signatures on the front. "Repaired" clearly denotes some scuffling at the bottom right corner where a small chip of paper has been replaced in order to complete the perimeter of this difficult example. Curiously, Rising Sun was once thought to be part of Maryland but a survey during the late 18th century firmly established the township to fall barely inside the northern border of Maryland.

Bucky The Badger Consignment. 1864 saw the production of two distinct cent planchets. One featured the Indian head cent’s originally intended copper nickel composition, as shown. The second an easier to strike and soon-to-be-adopted bronze alloy that would used until 1982. Deeply original surfaces, showcasing a particularly glowing reverse.
