  • Lot #261 - Five Proof Sets and a Mint Set
  • Collector Lots-Proof Sets
  • Witmor Farms Collection. Whether it is in a box or envelope, as long as it is United States Mint issued it can be a part of this group lot. A very pristine run of six early sets fills this grouping with the following: 2x 1952 proof sets, a 1953 proof set, a 1954 proof set, a 1955 (flat pack) proof set, and a 1956 mint sets. Each of these sets are in their original government packaging and the quality of the coins inside further prove their originality status (ck).

  • Lot #700 - 1921 Peace, High Relief NGC MS-66+
  • Hammer: $12,250
  • Silver Dollar-Peace
  • 13 graded MS-66+, 8 higher at NGC. The mintage of a million pieces does little to describe why the 1921 is so common near basal mint-state grades yet profoundly scarce at the superb gem grade level, a grade for which this tremendously vigorous example clamors. The strike falls decidedly into the "better-than-average" category but as always for the high-relief 1921s, it is hopelessly incomplete at the centers. Adorable almond-yellow patina absolutely blossoms across both sides and takes full advantage of marvelous, satin-matte surfaces that are hardly ever disturbed by contact. Any abrasions found with a loupe prove to be minuscule and utterly innocuous to the eye-appeal.

  • From France, this 18K yellow gold leopard brooch resembles a very popular design by Cartier. The textured finished modernist design displays a leaping leopard and is an absolutely beautiful design. Dimensions 1.75” x .75”, 2.8 dwt.
