Always a good choice for Dahlonega representation, 1853-D proves available in most grades and can be had as a bargain within the present PCGS "cleaned" holder. Wiped a handful of times but not aggressively, the surface still offers pleasing yellow-gold hue and tangible hints of luster within peripheral devices of the reverse.

Land And Home Collection. Hodder 2-D, Breen-190, R.6+. The "Godless" LON DON variety is much scarcer than the more often encountered GOD PRESERVE LONDON varieties. The surface of this wallet-brown example has a somewhat dry appearance but has no curious discolorations. Several tiny, curious pockmarks dot the elephant side, while the reverse shows no unexpected contact.
