The Walking Liberty half-dollar series is among the most popularly collected and difficult to complete collections within United States numismatics. A peculiar vapor-grey fog nearly engulfs both sides. A pattern of lines is faintly visible on Liberty’s face, possibly a result of being pressed against canvas or paper for years. Smokiness stronger on the obverse, the reverse gives way to more complexion; inner melon greens mix into sunset hues near rim.
