  • Lot #665 - 1884-CC GSA NGC MS-66 CAC
  • Hammer: $1,600
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • VAM-4/4A as the pinned wing motif is certainly present while additional die scratches on the obverse have not developed yet. An exquisite very-gem example, the coin almost appears to have album toning although of course, that is almost certainly not possible. Extraordinarily clean, laden with velvety texture and of course, superbly original.

  • Hammer: $9,500
  • Territorial Gold-Territorial Gold
  • Morals And Liberty Collection. Kagin-20 (R.4). Modestly pale golden hue joins with subtle crimson hues to suggest a decent level of original quality. Glimpses of luster meander between and through peripheral letters, affirming the grade assignment. Gentle hairlines are inevitable for a rare coin of this vintage but there is nothing to suggest negative appeal for this great private issue.
