Lightly tanned surfaces give this uncut sheet of (12) 1928-G $2 Legal Tender notes a truly organic and original look. This particular series (EA Block) is rarely seen in uncut sheet form and is truly deserving of the Choice About UNC 58 grade given by PMG. Nice centering and a very minor tear are noted (ck).

13 graded PR-65 CAM, 1 graded PR-65 CAM "star", 47 higher at NGC. Bone white and struck with the extreme precision one expects. A low mintage of 875 pieces seems to have survived in poor quantities are gem-and-better examples are difficult to locate. Outstanding mirrors here might have been impetus for an ULTRA designation but the contrast is not as vivid as seen for true early strikes.
