A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Retail #2 Scott Laiter Collection. Fair luster excites the surfaces and helps broadcast equal portions of yellow-gold and moonbeam hues. What appears at first glance to be an extremely faint scratch right of the obverse proves to be an interesting, lengthy area of lavender toning upon further investigation. A couple of trivial, triangular bagmarks appear on the upper reverse.
