Cheddars de Voirs Collection. A remarkable trio of California fractional gold, specifically 25-cent pieces, comprises this PCGS grouping. Included are: BG-727 (astonishingly high grade and blatantly prooflike), BG-728 (drenched in curiously lackluster greenish hue and unusually well struck), and BG-872 (rather outstanding citrus-gold on the obverse and lemon-yellow on the reverse with semi-prooflike reflectivity). Pearly white surfaces that offer ample luster and reveal minimal distractions are readily apparent when viewing this wonderful foursome of NGC and PCGS certified Morgan silver dollars. Three examples are PCGS certified and include an 1881-O MS-64 CAC, an 1881-S MS-64 CAC and a 1900-O MS-65 CAC. A lone NGC issue is a very attractive 1881-S MS-65 CAC. Above average eye appeal made all four of these “no doubters” with regards to earning their respective CAC green badges of honor (ck).
