Collector Lots-Error Coins
A pair of error examples is unusual for modern U.S. coinage struck and inspected to a high level of quality control. Included are: 1991 1/oz. eagle "obverse struck thru", showing some curious dimples within the rays to Liberty's (observed) left. Included is a 1999 oz. silver eagle "reverse struck thru" featuring an outstanding lozenge-shaped anomaly through "E DOLL", with this side facing in the slab. Two coin lot.

Mastodon Collection. KM#135, Mexico City mint, 0.399 oz. Only faint luster shows on the obverse although traces of slightly flashy luster still filter across protected portions of the reverse. The coin generally displays flatter details on the obverse, again with slightly better resolution seen on the reverse. Trivial planchet defects in the obverse far right field join innumerable tiny circulation marks to ascertain the grade. A much scarcer date and type that fills a difficult spot in the 4-escudos series.
