Bachelor Simon Collection. Overton-112, the die-marriage ubiquitously used to represent the "50/20c" reverse. Bowers lists this misplaced date but it is seldom referenced elsewhere, which is too bad given how prominent the digits are within the denticles. They are especially visible on such a nice, high-grade example of this Civil War survivor. Neither side would truly pass as UNC under close inspection, but the amount of wear is paper-thin and the coin overall exhibits attractive golden color with pinkish lowlights.

Average condition case and crystal. Winds, sets and runs. B. Ball Official RR Standard Cleveland on face. Movement # B800462. Watch has some trouble setting and winding.
