  • Lot #884 - 1823 Copper Restrike NGC MS-64 BN
  • Large Cents-Liberty Head
  • Newcomb-3, restrike in copper. Awash in lovely, swirling neon blue undertones, both sides display obvious luster and boldness of detail despite the well-known reuse of these dies. When this coin was struck, the dies were in an earlier to middle state as the obverse shows trisecting cracks, while the reverse has only a single, lengthy arcing crack crossing above the denomination.

  • Lot #451 - 1909-S PCGS MS-62
  • Hammer: $5,250
  • Gold $5-Indian Head Half Eagle
  • No more than a handful of Indian half-eagles are scarcer than the 1909-S despite a fairly prominent mintage near 300-thousand pieces. Acceptable brass-gold hue endows the surface although only minimal luster can be seen on either side. The cataloger notes a small rim ding on the reverse at 3:00.

  • Lot #307 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom
  • Hammer: $425
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
