Aside from isolated softness at the top of the bison's head and perhaps at the top of the Indian's braid, the cataloger can find no fault with this exceptional semi-key nickel.

Scott Laiter Collection. 41 graded MS-61, 37 higher at NGC. While more available as a date within the series, 1868 is at least not one of the truly common emissions. Without aid of a loupe, MS-61 almost seems too low given the lovely semi-flashy luster often seen for the date. Traces of lavender-gold show on both sides.
