The Trade silver dollar is among the shortest-lived series of coins to ever be issued by the United States Mint and that creates a supply shortage that is easily noticed by any collector of the type. The eagle's plumage appears typically struck with a lack of good definition while some delineation still shows nicely within Liberty's curls. Trivial luster at best remains, reduced by modest, even wear. Requiring mention, some tiny digs land on the obverse and a few linear abrasions scatter around the eagle's portrait.
