101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Lot #4 - Byzantine Empire - Two AD 654-668 solidus - NGC

Ancient Coins-Roman Empire
Each represents variation in design from the other but curiously, NGC neither attributed nor graded either one. In the [cataloger's opinion], the brighter coin grades [AU] and gleams with significant luster despite a small number of lengthier hairline abrasions on the reverse. Accompanying is an example nearer XF despite hints of luster, and it also carries a few light hairline scratches conspicuous only under a loupe. Two coin lot.
