Luxurious turquoise-blue and cinnamon-purple lines the obverse left margin and presents a splashy appearance through most of the reverse inner periphery. Numerous adjustment marks may have played into grade consideration, but this amazingly lustrous coin will command maximum interest.

VAM-3, and in this die-state, perhaps most easily recognized by noticing a small pile of schmutz beneath "18" in the date. Although visibly characterized by solid cameo effect, the fields are not nearly reflective enough to warrant a designation, showing instead dynamic windmill action over smooth, ice-laden frost. Delectable orange rim toning adds to the near-gem visual appeal. Not quite as fully struck as some examples.

There is evidence of heat treatment with residues which is a common and stable industry practice. The vivid center stone is highlighted with 12 round brilliant diamonds weighing approximately .50 cttw, SI1 clarity, G-H color. Ring size 6.5, 1.9 dwt.
