Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. Morals And Liberty Collection. Kagin-5, 880 THOUS, no "50" on reverse. As boldly sharp as is a typical example with XF to AU details, most of the vertical lines of the shield are fully impressed end-to-end but the rock at the base has some merging of their borders. Random small chips and dings show on the edges and of course, intricacy of the machined reverse design only amplifies the presence of each tiny abrasion. Curious texture affects the surface, leading to the PCGS disclaimer.
