A fair number of hairlines and some faint sliding abrasions on the obverse undoubtedly determine the grade. Both sides avow very good strikes despite plainly clashed dies.

VAM-3, and in this die-state, perhaps most easily recognized by noticing a small pile of schmutz beneath "18" in the date. Although visibly characterized by solid cameo effect, the fields are not nearly reflective enough to warrant a designation, showing instead dynamic windmill action over smooth, ice-laden frost. Delectable orange rim toning adds to the near-gem visual appeal. Not quite as fully struck as some examples.
