  • Lot #771 - 1902 PCGS PR-65CAM
  • Half Dollars-Barber
  • Bravery Consignment. 4 graded PR-65 CAM, 18 higher at PCGS. An arresting gem proof, the surface displays a thin veneer of copper-gold that in no way diminishes obvious cameo contrast. Uncommon for later-date Barber proofs, the reverse shows no weakness whatsoever, not even at the juncture of the eagle's left (observed) wing. A few trivial hairlines sprint across the fields and play a minor role in the gem grade assessment.

  • Lot #514 - 1875 PCGS MS-62+
  • Hammer: $3,900
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • 31 graded MS-62+, 112 higher at PCGS. Every type-2 double-eagle is a condition rarity, including the present 1875 off a mintage of about 300-thousand. The reverse of this ideally tinted medium gold example truly falls on the cusp of the choice grade level given the lack of major abrasions while the obverse shows a rather fair number of minuscule bagmarks scattering into the fields. Frosted texture within protected areas has avoided contact and suggests the coin was struck with velvety texture Flickers of orange can be found across both sides.

  • Hammer: $1,100
  • Jewelry-Pendants
  • I have to admit, this one won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but you will have to admit that it’s pretty darn cool! The center has a precious orangey marquise coral cabochon. There is a freeform, bezel set fossilized ammonite stone and the piece is completed with a elongated cabochon identified as rutilated quartz. None of the stones have indications of polymers or dyes, Stone Group Laboratories report #240827R-SJ. This piece has a pin on the back and also opens so it can be added to chain. Dimensions 4" x 1.5", 26.2 dwt.
