PCGS considers numismatic quality to reach perfection, and even the closest inspection can find no discernible reason to disagree. Remarkably, between them, the two major grading services suggest PR-70 to actually be substantially more common than coins graded "only" PR-69 or lower.

Dino-Mite Collection. A trio of choice more-or-less half-dimes get proper PCGS treatment in terms of grade. Included are: 1844 (roll friction in obverse right field while otherwise completely doused in attractive wintergreen patina), 1847 in MS-64 (very attractive album toning on cleanly struck details), and 1847 in MS-62 (olive-green obverse and more olive-gold and greenish hues on the reverse all over clashed dies). Three coin lot.
