Gold $5-Indian Head Half Eagle
45 graded MS-65, 5 higher at NGC. Nearly in the discussion for finest-known status, the quality seen here maximizes the appeal of devastating metallic mint luster and fabulous, bright golden color. A small nick in the reverse upper right field denies even further upgrade while the obverse displays merely a whiff of roll friction on the cheekbone. An example that will prove near impossible to improve upon.

Included are: 1898-Mo AM peso (wonderfully clean fields beneath zooming luster and white overall), 1908-Mo GV peso (white and lustrous although a trifle chalky over nicely struck detailing), and 1910 peso (modestly worn and now endowed with violet smoke toning atop fair luster).
