A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. Where do we draw the line? This is a very attractive group lot of twelve NGC "no line" holder coins that includes the following eight MS-67 war-time Jefferson nickels: a 1942-S, a 1943-P, a 1943-S, a1944-P, a 1944-D, a 1944-S, a 1945-P, and a 1945-D. The final four pieces of this numismatic puzzle includes an 1882 MS-63 Morgan dollar, 1n 1897 MS-64 Morgan dollar, an 1945-D Walking Liberty half-dollar, and a 1937-S Buffalo nickel. While each of these appear to be very conservatively graded, the toning of the 1882 Morgan stands out from the crowd (ck).
