  • Lot #290 - 1847 Hawaii 1C PCGS MS-63BN (green label)
  • Hawaii Issues-Hawaii Issues
  • Bachelor Simon Collection. Glimmers of brick-red surround both sides in defiance of the "BN" designation but there is no denying that attractive, slightly frosty brown patina has overtaken the vast majority of the surface. Much to the coin's benefit, the obverse shows essentially no evidence of the carbon spots that plague these Island-centric coppers while the reverse does retain several of the small dark intruders. Flush with luster and undeniably attractive.

  • Mastodon Collection. KM#199.2, Rio de Janeiro mint, 0.4229 oz. While hardly ever found in mint-state, one might be hard pressed to located a more pleasing example than this choice AU. Considerable luster encircles the conjoined portraits, while the reverse has tantalizing flowline texture that nearly traverses the fields.

  • Circa 1960/1970, this overly large sterling silver (tested, not marked) and chrysocolla squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 7-stone Naja at the bottom. With an overly bold design, the stone used in the making emulates a darker grade of turquoise than usually found in this type of necklace. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 26”, 8.40 troy ounces.
