Either side shows average definition and collectively surprisingly few bagmarks for the choice level, although one small copper spot lands below the date. Included are: 1877-R 5-lire, KM#8.4 (lustrous pewter-grey that includes mossy golden hues at the periphery; one of the most counterfeited coins in the world by some accounts), and 1881-R 2 lire, KM#23 (rare in such high certified grade and significantly prooflike despite a blanket of smoke-blue and ebony-chartreuse toning). There is an approximate .40 ct. round diamond in the center, I1 clarity, I color and a safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place. Dimensions 1.5” x 1.5”, 5 dwt.
