Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. And they may be listed as: ca 1917 "elder issue", Delorey-102 struck in brass (MS-63, delicate pesting of either side but smoothly lustrous, and also not assigned as inferred by the blank reverse), 1863 Civil War Token 240/337 (MS-65 BN, but showing noticeable splashes of crimson red within the confines of luminous cobalt toning, all wrapped up in lovely frosted texture), 1863 Advertising Token 345aA-1a (MS-62 BN, inadequately struck off of the usual shattered dies yet still features ample frosted luster). Three coin lot.
