Cochrane Gambit Consignment. Cataloger's grade: [MS-61], the appearance highly reminiscent of 1859-O dollars from the famed bag hoard found decades ago. A superior quality planchet shows none of the usual alloy problems that plague 1921-S and the strike off of better dies yielded bold details, including a fully delineated horn. The only complaint the cataloger could register would be a slightly excessive supply of sharp abrasions over the bison's back and beneath his belly -- but hey, this IS a 1921-S after all and one can overlook such anomalies in light of the very good production quality.

I have to admit, this one won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but you will have to admit that it’s pretty darn cool! The center has a precious orangey marquise coral cabochon. There is a freeform, bezel set fossilized ammonite stone and the piece is completed with a elongated cabochon identified as rutilated quartz. None of the stones have indications of polymers or dyes, Stone Group Laboratories report #240827R-SJ. This piece has a pin on the back and also opens so it can be added to chain. Dimensions 4" x 1.5", 26.2 dwt.
