This lustrous example from a low emission of 72-thousand pieces somehow managed to elude the typical bagmarks that limit grade for most New Orleans eagles. That said, a peculiarly bold patch of carbon rests at the end of the arrows on the reverse. Rather decently struck for the mint of origin and showing luster aplenty.

Here we have an Edwardian pin with rose cut diamond embellished wings. The eyes of the fly/moth feature a pair of faceted 1mm red ruby accents while the back section of the body is a 5.5mm x 7mm natural pearl. Trombone clasp closure. Possibly French in origin and excellent condition. Dimensions: 1.5” x 1.2”, 3.5 dwt.
