  • Lot #397 - 1914-D PCGS MS-64 CAC
  • Hammer: $3,300
  • Gold $2.50-Indian Head Quarter Eagle
  • Fabulous, fine-matte texture endows this coin with outstanding eye-appeal. Scarcely any major abrasions at all can be found, but a subtle sliding abrasion rises from the eagle's back, and a small depression shows in the lowest feathers of the headdress. Very few trivial surface grazes show on the obverse. A delightful example of a coin that suddenly becomes rare at the next grade level.
