Half Dimes-Flowing Hair
Zee's Densities Collection. LM-10 (R.3) has the first star touching a curl, and the final star attached to the point of Liberty's bust. This early die state has no cud over TY. Possibly a survivor of the famed Wadsworth-Rhea hoard, the coin features abundant details despite light wear, but the surface projects an odd, steely ebony hue and essentially no vibrancy. Corrosion must have prior existed primarily on the reverse where some shallow voids scatter about.

Morals And Liberty Collection. Double denomination $20/$10 notes, affectionately referred to as "thirty dollar bills" by some and dated 1974, began to show up in nearby Houston, TX in 1978 and the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank quickly took great pains to retrieve such mistaken notes for destruction. By that time, however, some had already entered commerce and were subsequently snagged by astute collectors, occasionally in time to retain CU freshness. Our note has serial number K46338252B and was pulled out of circulation in time to have collected only minimal wear to the tune of an XF40 grade. (By comparison, SN ...254B off the same sheet was saved immediately and garnered a CU464 EPQ grade some eight years ago, also at PMG.)

"Through the holder", this appears to be a fully original example with nice, bright paper quality and well centered design elements. Twenty points of wear has barely softened the sharpness of the design and created very slight corner wear. Broad margins all the way around and a trophy error place this note well within the realm of a possible record price, considering it has not been on the market in decades.
