Benjamin J. Collection. VAM-6, quickly attributable by noticing die cracks that connect the bottom of the digits in the date. This strongly detailed Carson City plainly shows a choice-plus reverse and will also seem undergraded when viewing blistering luster on the obverse, but closer inspection finds light slidemarks on the cheek.

A superior quality planchet shows none of the usual alloy problems that plague 1921-S and the strike off of better dies yielded bold details, including a fully delineated horn. The only complaint the cataloger could register would be a slightly excessive supply of sharp abrasions over the bison's back and beneath his belly -- but hey, this IS a 1921-S after all and one can overlook such anomalies in light of the very good production quality.
