  • Lot #651 - 1880/79-CC Reverse of 1878 PCGS MS-64 CAC
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • VAM-4 properly designates that the reverse is in the style of 1878 with feathers running parallel to the arrow shaft. While not truly fully struck, this gleaming Arctic-white example features superior sharpness as well as a deft touch of cameo effect despite fully lustrous fields. The reverse may grade gem all by itself while delicate abrasions visit the cheek and obverse left field to help determine grade.

  • Retail #2 Scott Laiter Collection. Fair luster excites the surfaces and helps broadcast equal portions of yellow-gold and moonbeam hues. What appears at first glance to be an extremely faint scratch right of the obverse proves to be an interesting, lengthy area of lavender toning upon further investigation. A couple of trivial, triangular bagmarks appear on the upper reverse.

  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
