Mintage figures are difficult to understand, even given the initial production of 3700 pieces, since it has long been rumored that hundreds were lost after having been disposed of in Manila Bay. For the enthusiast used to the way bronze reacts with environmental effects, this is one outstanding beauty is it unquestionably glows with olive-gold and brown aspects. Surprisingly semi-prooflike despite lack of true mirrors, plentiful cameo effect can still be seen, thinly eclipsed by a fragile champagne-copper layer. Although there are absolutely no discernible contact marks, the grade seems to have been limited by merely a few whisper-faint hairlines.
