Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. 107 graded MS-67, 8 graded MS-67 "star", 6 higher (all 67+) at NGC. Ultra common in virtually any grade (as an aside, the 1928 Saint is MUCH rarer in low grade with a single AG-3 known to NGC!), not many more than a hundred pieces grade MS-67 or better at NGC. At first, second and third glance, this is a sensational type coin showing a near-perfect obverse and a reverse that thankfully takes on the majority of tiny abrasions found. Truly exceptional and an uncommonly bright and shining Saint.
