  • Five Standing Liberty Quarters, UNC
  • Quarter Dollars-Standing Liberty
  • A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. • Lot #723 - 1858 NGC MS-64 Star
  • Hammer: $2,300
  • Half Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • Impetus for the "star" becomes instantly apparent upon first view as bull's-eye album toning on the obverse and circumferential toning on the reverse are to die for. Outer rings of chartreuse-indigo, cobalt-cinnamon and champagne gold align exactly with the classic color progression expected. The coin also boasts an outstanding strike despite cracked dies, particularly for the reverse.
