The Walking Liberty half-dollar series is among the most popularly collected and difficult to complete collections within United States numismatics. This only becomes ever more difficult when attempting to fill it out with collector grade issues. Time and effort were clearly put into the building of this particular Dansco album collection that is complete from 1916 through 1947. Mastodon Collection. KM#135, Mexico City mint, 0.399 oz. Only faint luster shows on the obverse although traces of slightly flashy luster still filter across protected portions of the reverse. The coin generally displays flatter details on the obverse, again with slightly better resolution seen on the reverse. Trivial planchet defects in the obverse far right field join innumerable tiny circulation marks to ascertain the grade. A much scarcer date and type that fills a difficult spot in the 4-escudos series.
