  • Lot #742 - 1806 Knob 6, Small Stars PCGS VF-20
  • Hammer: $625
  • Half Dollars-Draped Bust
  • Ba-Ga Maidi Collection. Overton-105, knob 6, small stars, and the early die-state. The two clouds beneath "OF" on the reverse are faintly struck as (almost) always for this die-marriage while on balance, the rest of the coin received a highly adequate strike, with details unquestionably still bold after moderate wear. Marvelous vintage grey blankets the surface except toward the rims, where peripheral letters rest within lighter silvery areas. A curiously sharp nick shows within "O" of OF, but no other abrasions warrant special notice.

  • Lot #510 - 1873 Open 3 PCGS MS-61
  • Hammer: $2,500
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • Heavily abraded on the obverse and moderately so on the reverse. "Open 3" is known as the most common of all type-2 double-eagles, this example replete with frosty luster and vintage surfaces.
