Silver Dollar-Morgan
Copeland Society Consignment. A trio of NTC silver dollars are worthy contenders despite potential disagreement with assigned grades. Included are: 1878 8TF (cataloger's grade: [AU-58], heavily draped in vintage greyish hues with utterly pleasing, vibrant midnight-blue tracing the rims, 1890-O (cataloger's grade: [MS-64 SPL], nearly prooflike and showing a clean cheek offset by scant abrasions in the obverse lower left field), and 1892-O (cataloger's grade: [UNC/cleaned] but only faintly so, and now draped in faint apricot patina that downplays trivial hairlines and planchet striations). Three coin lot.

A sensational proof type coin, the quality is exactly on par with what one expects of a superb-gem: glassy fields, a mere whisper of cameo effect, and pristine nickel-bright surfaces that have taken on only a hint of yellowish patina. A strike of incomparable sharpness predominates, as the cataloger found absolutely zero weak areas within the surgically precise design elements. If one wishes to be picky, a specific lighting angle can reveal a baby's breath fingerprint within the reverse far left field.
