Benjamin J. Collection. McCloskey 3-B, perhaps the most common "plain 4" die-marriage. Clean surfaces radiate yellow-gold hue with minimal luster seen along the protected rim area. Ten points of wear have erased only a trivial amount of the excellent detailing originally provided by the dies.

Land And Home Collection. Hodder 2-D, Breen-190, R.6+. The "Godless" LON DON variety is much scarcer than the more often encountered GOD PRESERVE LONDON varieties. The surface of this wallet-brown example has a somewhat dry appearance but has no curious discolorations. Several tiny, curious pockmarks dot the elephant side, while the reverse shows no unexpected contact.
