Dimes-Liberty Seated
Bravery Consignment. 16 graded MS-66, 21 higher at NGC. An astounding very-gem type coin, this no-drapery example displays incredibly bright white surfaces with abundant mint frost and blatant eye-appeal. The dies were both slightly cracked before striking the coin, yet they produced extremely sharp details throughout. Small splashes of coppery toning are evident, as is die rotation of about ten degrees or so.

Given that a star note is intended to replace another note rejected due to quality, it is highly remarkable that this star example itself shows a major error -- offset printing of the reverse design across the entire front of the note. While not very well centered, examination "in the holder" suggests strong paper quality and vibrant ink.
