Bachelor Simon Collection. Well struck and undeniably showing nicely frosted luster throughout the entire surface -- most Missouri half-dollars fall well shy of the vibrancy seen here. Trivial tiny abrasions land gently on the cheek and either obverse field displays very faint, inconsequential sliding abrasions.

KM#294, Dav-2100, Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Georg II "mining taler", Zellerfeld mint. Struck to honor The Goodness Of The Lord Mine, as is depicted on the obverse with a mine entrance within a heavily forested landscape. While both sides exhibit marvelous detail characteristic of relatively obscure "mining talers", someone has curiously tooled the entirety of the fields, converting what should be semi-prooflike reflectivity into texture.
