  • Lot #75 - Mexico - 1833/2-Do RM/L 8 reales - NGC MS-63
  • World Coins-Mexico
  • Ankh Consigonment. KM#377.4, Durango mint. A strong contender for "finest known" honors, the cataloger could find only a single PCGS choice UNC listed, although of course, these are known for inconsistent production as can be seen by a rim defect at 2:00 of the obverse. Fair luster traverses the aluminum-grey obverse while the revers boasts swirling silvery energy.

  • Lot #334 - 1853 PCGS MS-64+ CAC
  • Hammer: $1,450
  • Gold Dollars-Liberty Head
  • 1853 is a year replete with a nice variety of type coins, most of them approachable including the 1853 gold dollar. Here is an enchanting example that has all the makings of a gem, but at a much more affordable price given the "plus" grade assessed by PCGS. Opulent, velvety sheen and a delightful strike contribute to visual appeal, the only detriment (that the cataloger could find) being a few trivial hairlines sweeping across the portrait.

  • Lot #306 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom
  • Hammer: $475
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and a 6-stone Naja at the bottom. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 23”, 5.31 troy ounces.
