  • Full head all by itself does not adequately convey how overall well struck this late Philadelphia issue actually is, as Liberty's hair and face erupt with very fine delineation and even the shield -- always a trouble spot for 1930 -- features demonstrably better-than-average definition through the rivets. A tiny ding on the tiny cheek, and three small reeding nicks upper most at the eagle's left (observed) wing constrain the grade.
