  • Lot #795 - 1818/5 NGC MS-63
  • Quarter Dollars-Capped Bust
  • Bachelor Simon Collection. Browning-1. The Browning plate coin in this exact same die-state might be available for a quarter-million dollars, but for most other collectors, a choice off-white example like this with formidable luster should do just fine. The underdigit shows nicely under a loupe, as does the satiny greyish surface showing no problems. There truly are no post-production defects to mention but interestingly, faint adjustment marks show across the lower portrait. A boldly appealing example of the highly sought overdate.

  • Hammer: $715
  • Small Cents-Lincoln, Wheat
  • Bucky The Badger Consignment. A pair of Lincoln cents brighten up even a dreary day despite neither being fully red in color. Included are: 1911-S (struck with unexpected sharpness and slightly glossy over bold luster), and 1913-D (remarkable purplish over tones swirl over about two-thirds of the obverse and a quarter of the reverse). Two coin lot.
