Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

Flat out nice, eye-appeal takes advantage of a fabulous strike, luscious matte surface texture and slightly pale golden tint. Isolated abrasions above the cheekbone seem to be the only possible complaint, and they are minor.

Recovered from the sunken Spanish galleon, the Santa Margarita this 8 Reale coin of Philip III is set into a 14K and sterling silver bezel. The bezel features a scene of a dolphin and a patch of seaweed. This does come with a certificate of authenticity from Mel Fishers’s Treasures, LLC. with a grade of four.
