Remarkably well struck surfaces drenched with satiny soft luster aptly describes all four examples within this NGC certified group lot of 2008-W burnished American Gold Eagles. There is a representative of each denomination including a $50 (1oz.), a $25 (1/2oz.), a $10 (1/4oz.), and a $5 (1/10oz.). All four issues were graded as MS-70 and deservedly so. The 1/2oz. and 1/4oz. issues are among the lowest mintages within their respective series (ck).

29 graded MS-67, 1 higher at NGC. Distribution of 13-thousand pieces led to precious few superb gems remaining for this low-relief design that frequently suffers pre-striking flan abrasions. Not so here, the strike carried out excellent eradication of any such possible disturbances, showcasing an untroubled and fully original appearance. Partial rings of album toning surround almond-grey interiors.
