In ascending denomination are: cent (gorgeous flame-orange hue evenly and consistently distributed across the entire surface), dime (sensational white brilliance with meager cameo contrast and immaculate surfaces), and half-dollar (only slightly hazy and superbly struck off of refinished dies). Three coin lot.

Lot #495 - 1857-O PCGS AU details/scratch

Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
Breezy L Collection. Mintage: 30,000. While not a key to the New Orleans emissions, 1857-O represents a somewhat more difficult date and one often found problematic. PCGS calls out minor scratches on both sides, which would almost certainly be forgivable if they did appear surprisingly fresh, or if, for example, one or two off right of the portrait had not been imparted. A little glossy overall but by no means an unacceptable representative for a collector.
