Half Cents-Draped Bust
Bachelor Simon Collection. Cohen-13, plain 4, stemless, and a generally readily available Redbook entry, though obviously at AU-55, this is a sharp and pleasing example. The obverse appears slightly glossy compared to the reverse and either side appears free from major abrasions -- the reverse unusually so. Bold deep brown coloration provides a nice visual impression of completely original preservation.

Jaw-dropping luster and a fairly accurate strike beg for the gem grade level, staved off by delicate scattered abrasions. A couple of obverse stars are not quite fully formed but the ear of corn shows most intended details.

The main focal point of the bangle is an approximate .50 ct. round cut diamond, I1 clarity, I-J color and four approximate .03 ct. bezel set accent diamonds. Dimensions 2.75” x 2.5”, 10.4 dwt.
