Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
Rebel Yell Collection. Overton-107, XXX edge. The experimental edge has been found on many die-marriages for 1809 but appears to be somewhat scarcer for O-107, and the PCGS insert does permit viewing it for this example. "Cleaning" seems much too light to be called out by PCGS as the coin possesses neutral grey patina and only the flimsiest of hairlines possible.

Fabulous, fine-matte texture endows this coin with outstanding eye-appeal. Scarcely any major abrasions at all can be found, but a subtle sliding abrasion rises from the eagle's back, and a small depression shows in the lowest feathers of the headdress. Very few trivial surface grazes show on the obverse. A delightful example of a coin that suddenly becomes rare at the next grade level.
