Jewelry-Pins
A retro-modern 18K gold and platinum (tested) dress clip – fur clip embellished with diamonds and rubies. Crafted in Austria, the pin depicts a couple riding in a horse drawn carriage. The hat of the lady is studded with five round brilliant diamond accents while the lantern lights are made of synthetic faceted rubies. An estate piece, the pin will include a copy of a letter that was found with one of our prior offerings from the estate of August A. Busch, Jr (1899-1989). Dimensions: 2” x 1.2”, 13.4 dwt.

Swap Deterred Collection. A pair of type dollars are in disparate slabs for this offering. First is 1871, details commensurate with the PCI XF-40 assessment although cleaning was not mentioned for the chalk-bright surface. Accompanying is 1876-S, somewhat subdued by widespread hairlines yet showing very strong details, perhaps surpassing AU-55 sharpness. Two coin lot.

Half Dimes-Liberty Seated
Clem Stevens Collection. A sensational proof type coin that deserves a "star" (it was likely certified before NGC ushered in the designation for superior eye-appeal), this Reconstruction Era gem earns the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award. The obverse displays a phenomenally beautiful, fully circular pattern of rainbow toning that descends from the rim half way into the fields. The reverse survives with fully white mint brilliance. While the obverse also seems fully struck a hint of weakness shows on the reverse at upper left.
